Who are you?
We are the approximately 1,000 members of the Porsche Club of America's Sacramento Valley Region. We hail from all corners of the globe, come in all shapes and sizes, work in all types of industries, and we have one important thing in common - We're fans of the Porsche marque and everything that goes with it.
What do you do?
We celebrate our vehicles a number of ways - For the enthusiast we conduct regular skill improvement sessions called Driver Education (DE) and Autocross (AX) events. For the more relaxed driver, tours and rallies provide a good mix of driving and socialization. Like to tinker? Regular technical sessions enhance those garage skills. We also have simple social events like dinners, parties, charity events and more. 1,000 members can't be wrong.
How are you organized?
We are one of the Porsche Club of America's (PCA) 139 North American regions. Our region is part of Zone 7 and spans east to west from the Sierras to Suisun Bay, and north to south from the Buttes to just south of Sacramento.
Our members have complete access to this website and forum, and receive an electronic copy of our monthly magazine, The Drifter™, which won third place in the 2007 Class IV Newsletter competition. Our members can also purchase PCA and SVR-branded apparel from the "Goodie Store" to proudly display their support of the Porsche Marque or organizations.
Is that it?
No, in addition to the SVR offering, membership entitles you to a number of PCA Membership Benefits as well.
OK, I'm sold. How do I join?
If you live within SVR boundries, simply apply for a PCA Membership and you will be assigned to our region if you live in Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Tehama, Yolo or Yuba counties. If you don't live in these areas, but have ties and would like to stay current with our activities, we offer a Dual Membership. Contact our membership director for further details.
